Christmas Eve
We all went to Jill's house for Christmas Eve.  She is an AMAZINGLY talented cook and decorator.  Everything she touches is beautiful and all she makes is delicious!  Everything was beautifully decorated.

It's been a long-time family tradition for our family to gather together on Christmas Eve.  We have a special dinner which always includes an amazing Italian dish called cappiletti.  If you ask anyone in our family what they would want to have for Christmas dinner they will all tell you they want cappiletti.  It is HEAVENLY!

Every year Mom would have us kids sit around the table a few weeks before Christmas and for about 2-3 hours, we would help her roll out the pasta, fill it, fold it, and seal it.  Then she would freeze it until Christmas Eve.  We all enjoyed this time together telling stories, laughing and working together on something we all knew we would love to eat later.  Good times!

Dinner was wonderful, thanks to my sister chef Jill, and her sou chef Doug.  They did a wonderful job and did all that they could to make it a very nice Christmas for everyone.

After dinner we read the Christmas story and open gifts to each other.  And there was the added bonus of having a new baby to snuggle and fight over this Christmas.  Mom always says that having a new baby at Christmas makes it extra special.

It was great to be able to share Christmas Eve with Mom and Dad this year.  That was the best gift of all.
